Petersburg Civil War Round Table at Pamplin
February 7, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join this month’s guest speaker James Price of the U.S. Army Women’s Museum as he talks about “The Battle of New Market Heights”.
Price’s presentation titled “Battle of New Market Heights” is based on his first book, “The Battle of New Market Heights: Freedom Will Be Theirs by the Sword,” which was published in 2011. The Journal of Southern History claims “this slim volume offers considerable insight regarding the black military experience.”
Price is a Museum Education Specialist with the U.S. Army Women’s Museum. An Air Force veteran, he received his M.A. in Military History from Norwich University in 2009.
The Petersburg Civil War Roundtable (PCWRT) will meet the first Thursday of each month (except June, July, and August) at Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm. Annual membership is $40.00. Individuals who are already members of Pamplin Historical Park can become members of PCWRT for $20.00. Non-members can attend for $5.00 each meeting. Call (804) 861-2408 for more information.
