Black History Month at Pamplin: Sojourner Truth
Pamplin Historical Park 6125 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA, United StatesCharmaine Crowell-White will provide a first-person portrayal of famed abolitionist and women’s rights activist Sojourner Truth. Born Isabella in the late 1790s, in New York State, Truth escaped to freedom and became a noted champion of human rights. Black History Month events are included with regular paid Park admission or active Park memberships.
