Memorial Day Commemoration

Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier will offer a full schedule of daily programs this Memorial Day. The Park will open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and activities are included with regular museum admission.

Schedule of Events:

9:00 – 9:30 am Dressing for Mourning at Tudor Hall Plantation

9:45 – 10:30 am Memory & Mourning at Education Center

10:45 – 11:15 am Load in Nine Times at Fortifications Exhibit

11:30 am – Noon Camp Life Demonstration at Military Encampment

12:45 – 1:15 pm Memorial Day Commemoration at Fortification Exhibit

1:30 – 1:45 pm Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for “292 Days: A City at War” Exhibit at Battlefield Center

2:00 – 2:45 pm “292 Days: A City at War” Exhibit Guided Tour at Battlefield Center

3:00 pm National Moment of Remembrance (Throughout the Park)

3:00 – 3:50 pm War So Terrible Film at Battlefield Center

3:10 – 3:45 pm Breakthrough Battlefield Walking Tour begins at Battlefield Center
