25th Park Anniversary Commemoration Weekend

Join us for a weekend to remember what began in 1991 as a historic preservation effort, which resulted in a phone call and the multi-million dollar Pamplin Historical Park that you see and experience today. Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier will offer a full schedule of daily programs on Memorial Day, Monday May 28. The Park will open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and activities are included with regular museum admission. I Spy: A Civil War Spy Academy

During this two-day camp, participants will hear the stories of several Civil War spies, both Union and Confederate, who did what they could to help their cause through covert means. Campers will learn about the skills needed to be an effective spy; everything from code breaking to effective disguises. Costumed guides portraying “agents of death” will lead participants by candlelight on a spine-chilling tour through the historic park and Breakthrough Battlefield.
