Halloween Tea

This Halloween season meet the master of terror, Edgar Allan Poe as portrayed by Charles Wissinger of Richmond Discoveries. Wissinger will read some of Poe’s famous works followed by a question and answer session.

Take this one time opportunity to experience what Edgar Allan Poe described as, “Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.” from his work “The Raven”.

The Park’s Halloween Tea will only be offered one afternoon and space is limited. Due to the popularity of the tea programs, reservations and prepayment are required. RSVP by October 22nd. The event will be held at The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier located at 6125 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA 23803. The cost is $24.00 per person which also includes a general admission to the Park for the day. The health and safety of visitors and staff is a first priority. The park is following the governor of Virginia’s Phase III Guidelines. Frequent cleaning and sanitation of high contact surfaces is performed daily. Staff members wear face coverings and visitors are encouraged to do so as well. Social distancing of a physical six feet will be maintained throughout the 424-acre park and building occupancy levels will be closely monitored.
