SUMMARY:History Talk and Book Signing
DESCRIPTION:We sometimes forget that the Civil War played out on the home front as well as on the battlefield. In fact\, for Southern civilians\, the home front too often became scenes of conflict. Please join us as author Courtney Soling Smith discusses the research that served as the basis for her recently released novel\, Lies Based on True Stories. Her talk\, “Digging Up History: Uncovering Interesting Facts about Daily Life during the Civil War\,” will begin at 1:00 pm and will be followed by a book signing. The program is free with paid admission or membership.
