Breakthrough Battle Anniversary

Walk in the footsteps of Civil War soldiers as we remember the historic Battle of the Breakthrough. The Park hosts a full schedule of events for walk-in visitors including a special talk by historian Michael McCarthy on his recently released book, “Confederate Waterloo: The Battle of Five Forks, April 1, 1865.”  
A special schedule of events will be available to guests who register in advance, and will include guaranteed seating at Michael McCarthy’s talk, a boxed lunch, and a guided walking tour of the Union 6th Corps route of advance to the Confederate earthwork fortifications. The walking tour is approximately 1.75 miles in length and will be led by Pamplin Historical Park historian Edward Alexander.
**Registration is required for the Special Schedule – $10 for Park Members, $25 for non-members. Price includes lunch and admission to the Park. Space is limited.  For a full schedule of events, click here.
